How to Play Mega Color Lines

Basic Gameplay

• Select orbs, then move them to empty squares
• Form lines of 5+ of the same colored orbs to score points
• Rainbow Orbs can be paired with any color
• 3 new orbs appear each turn if you don't form a line
• The game ends when the board fills up completely

Rainbow Mode

• Pair 5+ Rainbow Orbs in a line to unlock Rainbow Mode
• In Rainbow Mode, only 3+ orbs are needed to form lines
• Rainbow Mode ends when you make a move without forming a line
• Rainbow Mode can give you some much-needed breathing room!

Special Orbs

• Unlock 3 superpowered orbs as you reach higher scores
• Pair 5+ of these orbs in a line to trigger their special powers!
• Pink Orbs - Clear the outer rim of the board
• Black Orbs - Clear any orbs adjacent to the Black orbs
• Pearl Orbs - Clear all orbs of the most common color on the board
• Scores progressively increase with each orb cleared with special orbs!

Hazards

• Hazards also appear as you reach higher scores
• Snare - These squares stop orbs moving through them
• Ice - Frozen orbs cannot move until a line is formed
• Fog - Orbs in fog (question mark icon) cannot be seen, though they can be glimpsed during movement
• Ultra! - Four orbs now drop instead of three, but point values are doubled. Not for the faint of heart!

Color Purge

• Clear all orbs of a specific color
• Each color can only be purged once per game
• Color Purge is a free action - no new orbs spawn after using it
• Use Color Purges strategically to clear the board when it gets crowded!

Pro Tips

• Watch the "Next Orbs" preview to plan your next move
• Undo can reverse mistakes, but it can also be used strategically
• Special Orbs must be paired as 5 or more to trigger their special powers. So for example, 4 Special Orbs plus a Rainbow Orb won't trigger the special power
• Keep the center of the board clear for easier movement
